Statement of Beliefs

  • We believe that there is only one living and true God. God is the Spirit, self-existent, and omnipresent. God is infinite and eternal in his being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness and truth, and unchangeable in his being. We believe in the Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are one being and equal in power and glory.

  • Jesus Christ is the only redeemer of the world. Jesus Christ is the sinless Son of God who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus Christ possessed two distinctive natures, one fully divine and the other fully human, but he was one person. He was crucified on the cross in place for our sins, died and was buried. On the third day, he rose again from the dead, ascended to heaven where he is sitting at the right hand of God and will come to judge the world.

  • We believe the Holy Spirit empowers us to be born again through acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Savior and confession of Jesus Christ as Lord. The Holy Spirit emboldens us to become children of God who demonstrate God's love toward each other. The Holy Spirit works in us to live more holy lives. We also believe that the mission of Christians is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that the Holy Scripture of the Old and New Testaments is the inspired and inherent Word of God. It empowers us to understand God's salvation and provides instructions for us to become righteous as the children of God. We believe the Holy Scripture is the authoritative Word of God without error. All Scripture is a testimony to Jesus Christ.

  • Salvation is not earned through philosophy, religion, beliefs, or good works. Salvation is a God's free gift to us. It is offered in grace and received by faith in the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross as payment for our sin. Therefore, we believe that we receive eternal life with faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord, reverence and love for God and obedience to the Holy Spirit.

  • We have a vision of fulfilling Jesus Christ's Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19) by being personal witnesses for Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. We believe God's ultimate purpose is to transform the world by building God's Kingdom through discipleship. Therefore, we are committed to go anywhere of the world where there has not yet been any proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ to expand God's Kingdom.

  • We believe that in the 21st century, the mission of Korean churches will assume bigger responsibilities. We are certain that the future of immigrant churches and Korean immigrant churches will depend on the role of our second generation. Therefore, in preparation for those times, our first generation must determine how the second generation will be trained to become true disciples of Jesus Christ. Thus, our pastors and Sunday school teachers are devoted to educating our children of all ages, from preschoolers to college students. Our goal is to train and equip committed disciples imbued with the Word of God and the desire to lead a new generation.
